Access to the Zella DC micro data centres is via a secure IP65 rated PIN pad on the front door. PIN numbers can be 4 to 8 digits long.

Multiple PIN numbers are possible and each one can be assigned to open one or both of the micro data centres doors.

The PIN pad is IP66 rated with tactile rubber buttons. Audible feedback on button presses and a dual colour indicator provide feedback as the keypad is being used.

BENEFITS & USE CASES:

  • 26 bit output security
  • IP66 rating
  • Enhance security using individualised PIN numbers rather than a shared one.

To further enhance the benefits of multiple PIN numbers, an additional feature is to place time conditions on PIN:

  • Absolute Time Condition – make a PIN operable for a specific time slot only
  • Periodic Time Condition – make a PIN operable on for specific days and times

These additional features make Zella DC’s micro data centres access even more flexible and powerful.

Use cases can be:

  • Once of PIN for contractors
  • Weekly use PINs for specific regular IT maintenance functions

Swipe-cards-&-tagsSwipe cards can be used as an alternative means of access to PIN numbers.

This is beneficial when users may already have access cards for other forms of facility access.
Rather than having to add another card, they will be able to add their compatible card to the Zella DC micro data centres access system.

RF tags are also programable.

BENEFITS & USE CASES:

  • Wide compatibility
    • Hid card
    • EM card
    • Mifare card
  • 26 bit outputs security
  • Simple to add cards and tags – read and store
  • Add a backup PIN to each swipe card

The flexibility of multiple PIN numbers and swipe is a great benefit in accommodating multiple roles that need to interact with IT equipment.

With multiple PINs and roles comes the need to be able to manage them simply. The graphical interface of the Zella DC micro data centres is simple to use and intuitive.

This is further complemented by being able to remotely manage this powerful security facility. When the Zella DC micro data centre is enabled to access the internet, managing users is a powerful ally in managing your remote IT remotely.

Remote Management
