Zella-Sense---remote-accessZella DC micro data centres are often used at the “edge”, in remote locations, and they are designed to run reliably and unattended for extended durations.

With the addition of a suitable internet connection, the Zella DC micro data centre is enabled for remote access, providing alerting, configuration and automation from afar.

With robust network security protocols already in place, Zella DC can also assist with the expertise and additional equipment to connect your micro data centre, whether it be a traditional router and firewall arrangement or a software defined network.

Benefits include:

  • Save travel time
  • Receive real time alerts and telemetry
  • Remove the need for on-site technical expertise

Remote access is a powerful tool in access your IT devices over an internet / IP connection. However, there are times when a physical keyboard and screen is required to fault find, reboot or configure at a low level. Traditionally this has required a person to be present. That has all changed with the Zella DC offering of KVM over IP products.

Supporting from 1 to 64 devices, the KVM range is as good as being hands on with the connected servers, but all by remote.

These advanced devices provide BIOS level screen, keyboard and mouse, all through a secure IP connection.

FEATURES:

  • Single-port, unblocked, BIOS-level, KVM-over-IP Access for up to 8 users
  • Out-of-Band, BIOS-Level Access
  • Fanless, silent operation with enhanced reliability
  • PC, laptop and app access
  • Small form factor
  • Clean contact output for control
  • Up to 4K video
  • HDMI, DVI, VGA, Display Port, USB-C display compatible
  • User Configurable Bandwidth for LAN, WAN and Internet Usage

Modbus is a mature industrial protocol that was developed to make communication possible between automation devices. It is an open protocol, which means it is widely supported across a range of manufactures.

The Zella DC micro data centre control systems can be modbus enabled, allowing integration into customers existing modbus platforms.

Benefits include:

  • Integration into existing modbus control system
  • Enrich existing machine telemetry with power and sensor data from the Zella DC micro data centre

Features via the modbus interface:

  • Sensor readings for inlets
  • Sensor readings for overcurrent protectors
  • Outlet sensor readings
  • Outlet control
  • Peripheral sensor readings
  • Peripheral actuator control

Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is used for the management and monitoring of IP network-connected devices, including routers, switches, servers and firewalls. It is used by many network management and support platforms.

The Zella DC micro data centres are supplied SNMP ready and so can be quickly integrated into existing management platforms.

Benefits include:

  • Integration into existing monitoring and management platforms.
  • Enrich existing data and reporting with power and sensor data from the Zella DC micro data centre

PDU 38

SUPPORTED FEATURES:

  • SNMP v1 / v2c / v3 compatible
  • Read / write community strings
  • SNMP notifications
  • Configurable security levels
  • Multiple authentication protocols – MD5, SHA1 – SHA512
  • Privacy protocols up to AES-256

Zella DC’s micro data centres can expose their full functionality via an application programming interface. Using JSON-RPC, this API can be used for remote control, mass configuration or integration with other systems.

All interfaces are formally defined in IDL (interface definition language) files, making software integration a simple task. Benefits include:

  • Integration into existing customer software platforms
  • Potential to extend functionality through programmatic models
